Colman Domingo’s first major TV role

Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Boy, I wanted to like this. I’ve liked other things Colman has done, but this is a waste of time.

And poor Colman is just bad here

Some really dodgy and predictable writing and, unfortunately, not great acting. He’s not that much of a leader. It reminded me of Tyler Perry trying to play Alex Cross.

Watching Colman run was painful

Just unbelievable. As the series dragged on and the scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plots to each other (why not show us that?), it was really hard to stay awake. I always find it funny when non-athletic actors get the chance to play action roles.

Not everyone becomes an action star

(He wasn’t great with action on Fear the Walking Dead and he’s not great here either). It always takes me out and smacks of a futile project. His mouth is open during every scene as he "thinks" (say he’s not comfortable and in my opinion is preoccupied with playing it “sharp”).
