Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are reunited against a powerful new foe, Shadow, a mysterious villain with unprecedented powers. Meet the actors behind some of your favorite animated films and series, including Keanu Reeves in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

The film also draws on narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)

The creators of the previous films have mentioned that they will star in both Sonic adobenchâ 2 (2001) and, for inspiration, the single-player game Shadow. the hedgehog (2005).
