Not afraid to act or look their age. What a treat for us, and what a treat for young Bill Milner, to play with these greats of British film and theatre. Quite a change from director John Crowley’s Intermission, but well paced for the older generation.
Check for subdued acting and writing
A nice, enjoyable film about an old geezer and a young boy. Anne Marie Duff had a small role (the last scene) in Notes on a Scandal and a larger role in a recent Irish film called Garage. David Morrissey co-starred in the television series State of Play, which is now a film starring Russell Crowe and Helen Mirren.
