American (English) French-language remake of the series HPI (2021)

Scenario

Follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how, thanks to her brilliant mind, she is able to help solve a crime by rearranging evidence during a shift as a police department cleaner. Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of mysteries, Morgan makes a series of major legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a TV legal show would never know she made. For example, in the first episode, she retrieves a document from a locked safe in the suspect-victim’s law office that would never be admissible in court – illegally obtained evidence.

Okay, the episode starts off great, and Kaitlyn Olson gives a solid performance

It also could not be used to obtain other evidence – a violation of the legal doctrine of “fruit of the poisonous tree”. In episode 2, she has to be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at a crime scene, while in episode 3, she removes all documented evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and no longer allowing anything she removed to be admissible in court.. In this episode, she’s too self-righteous and obstructs the case

The series is very similar to the TBS series Monk, where a borderline Asperger’s helps the police solve crimes. Again, the series has been solid so far, but not as weird or fun to watch as Monk, but it’s a fun watch. Episode 3 really goes off the rails, and I hope episode 4 really improves.

A tactic that would render the case invalid

She takes evidence from the police station, she handles the evidence, and she contaminates it. ANSWERS? Zero….

Again, I hope this improves with episode 4

It’s almost distracting how annoying she is in this episode. She shows no self-awareness or remorse for her actions.
