It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they think will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age series (2002-present). Surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining how they didn’t make it past the first episode. The show is a slow-burn mystery that may not be for everyone. I personally found it entertaining and funny with a particular tone from Liz Feldman that I like. I really love the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first due to my own prejudices (a lifetime of not being able to separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that went away pretty quickly. All the various characters have their own back stories that form a tangled web of chaos that is gradually, though not completely, unraveled. By the last episode I was quite invested in the story, despite figuring out the main twist very early on. I’m not mad about that though. I would love to see more of this show and I really hope they get a second season..
