Is the art of a good opening scene coming back?
Scenario
A seasoned killer injects a grieving woman with a paralyzing drug, and she must run, fight, and hide before her body shuts down. Actor Finn Wittrick, who plays a serial killer in this film, is a prime candidate to play serial killer Patrick Bateman in the remake of “American Pyscho.” He flits between scenes in running shoes and hiking boots. It gives you information that will come in handy later on and introduces the characters nicely
Probably not, but a few movies I’ve seen recently have had good opening scenes, and “Don’t Move” was one of them. It’s a tense little scene with some action, but it’s a staple of the rest of the movie. My main concern when I read the synopsis for this movie was whether they could stretch it out to 90 minutes.
They manage to do it – just
The movie uses some good creativity to stretch things out and make the movie feel fresh as the action progresses. I don’t think they could have stretched out another 15-20 minutes and they were wise to keep it that long. It’s a solid little thriller with a few good moments along the way.

It may not have had enough of an X factor to stick with me for long, but there are certainly worse ways to spend 90 minutes. 7/10.. The final season of What We Do in the Shadows is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
